Still just hanging out...

...we really just spend all our time in the bedroom these days, here are some more pictures of us playing in the bed. Alex had just got up from his afternoon nap and was having a snack. As you can see, Brutus lurks nearby, in hopes of any crumbs Alex may leave behind. Evan has just started sitting up lately. He can only do it for a few seconds before he gets excited and falls straight back. He will get the hang of it soon!

Happy Birthday Aunt Krista!

We celebrated Krista's 25th birthday at Michael's new house with mom, Granny B-B, Tim, Michael and Krista! Very low-key - BBQ, sweet tea and peanut butter pie - yummy! Krista is such a good aunt!

What's going on...

We don't have a lot to do on the weekends these days because we still don't have access to our first floor due to the kitchen remodel, so we have just been hanging out in our bedrooms! I did take both boys for a jog this past week at Lunken in the jogging stroller. Evan isn't supposed to go until he is 6 months old, but he is bigger than most 6 month olds, so I took my chances. He would have been great if he had his dinner before we went - he wasn't so happy about that. Alex tried to console him by putting his pacifier in while we were still about 2 miles out, but that didn't help, so instead he started pinching him until he bled. That didn't help either! What am I going to do with him!?!

Evan has finally decided he would rather sleep on his tummy and he sleeps so much better this way. He only lasts on his back about 5 seconds before he flips over. Problem is, he is so fat, it is hard to roll back onto his back - he is working on it. He also needs at least two pacifiers, just in case...

Alex loved the ocean! He would just wait for the waves to knock him down and then when he was tired and had his pacifier - he would dip it in the ocean and then lick the salt off of it!

So far, both days, it has taken Alex a little while to get used to all the people at the pool - he is shy for the first 30 minutes or so. The baby pool has a fountain in it that he does like to sit on and splash around. He had just finished off an Italian Ice and was trying to get the last little bit out of the cup in these pictures.

On the road...

We were very nervous about the long drive to Myrtle Beach, but overall, they did pretty good. I think that it helped for sure that we stopped in Somerset to cut approximately 2 - 3 hours off our trip. We only stopped once between Somerset and Myrtle Beach - so I was impressed! We caught a picture of Alex sleeping on the way down...
