Drew loves being on his belly and has been practicing his swimming. Alex and Evan say that he is going to be an excellent swimmer because he kicks his feet so fast...
This post is waaaaay late since I am just now posting on 2/15, oh well - better late than never! He changes everyday and did get a lot better with sleeping since the holidays - thank goodness. He is also becoming more aware of his surroundings. He watches Alex and Evan, taking note of everything they do. This can be good, but is probably mostly bad - especially when he watches them and laughs. If only I could read his mind, he is probably thinking - I can't wait until I can jump off the back of the couch, have light saber battles, pick my nose and eat my boogers all the time like my super-cool brothers. Drew did well at his six month doctor's appointment, but he is a full 2lbs smaller than Alex and Evan at six months. He was still 50 percentile for weight, so I was really happy! He is gaining weight fast with all the food he has been eating lately!
See the Seven Month old post for more of Drew's updates!
We celebrated Evan's birthday here at home, very low-key. Micheal, Krista, Tim and I had a nice steak dinner and Evan had his Oscar the Grouch cupcake. Poor little guy didn't get a big party this year... It just was hard this year with everything going on in January to make a big fuss over him turning three. He did not want the attention anyway. By the time everyone called him to wish him a happy birthday - he was over it. He literally stopped taking the calls the night of his birthday and demanded he was still two. Oh Evan - what will we do with you?
Santa was unable to put Alex's big Santa gift together - so therefore, no pictures and it is still in a box in the basement. In his defense, after some googling - there is a defect that causes problems. Mrs. Claus was not a happy camper.
