First stroll in the new double stroller
It was freezing, but I just had to try it out! I love it and can't wait until I can take it down to Lunken for a run with Alex. Evan can ride in it, but no running for 6 months and it was way too cold that day to take him anyway. It was the fastest walk ever!

Alex in Time Out
You want me to count how high mommy? Alex is great at counting to ten and is working on twenty. His favorite numbers are 1, 2, 3 then 8, 9, 10. Close seconds are 11 and 13 - he seems to like to skip all the others!

Daddy getting them into trouble...
Tim and Alex thought it would be a good idea to take Evan for a spin on one of Alex's cars - not so much - he hated it!
Kiss me, I'm POLISH!
Mary Beth got the boys these adorable shirts! Evan's is still a little big, but Alex loved his. I had to distract him with a plastic cup to get him to sit still for the picture, we are still working on that!

Alex's Obsession with Starbucks
Don't touch my latte!
I guess he is more like me than I thought! Every time I bring Starbucks home, he has to have a sip and my empty glass when I am finished!

Snoozing on his belly...
Evan loves to sleep on his belly - I can't wait until he learns to roll over so we can put him down like that at night!

Updates from the Doctor
Alex and Evan went to the doctor today together for Alex's 18 month appointment and Evan's 1 month appointment. Alex weighed 27 lbs and was 34.5 inches tall. I thought he was looking a little heavy with his cute double chin and potbelly, but he was 67th percentile for weight and 95 percentile for height and head. Evan was up to 10 lbs 4 ozs from his 2 week appointment, so two pounds in 3 weeks! It is amazing how fast they grow. He has also grown an inch and three quarters since birth. Thank goodness my mom was able to go to the appointment with me - they would have been hard to handle alone! Evan's next appointment is his two month appointment where he will get some shots, which is March 16th. Alex's next appointment will not be until August when he turns two!
Update as of 2/24/09: For the family that was here this weekend and got to witness sick and pitiful Alex, we took him to the doctor yesterday and he has another ear infection! The doctor thinks that he got sick from the amount of congestion and drainage from his never-ending runny nose. Hopefully the antibiotics will work this time!

Alex's Boo Boo
See - it isn't that bad, but it did bleed a lot and I am sure it hurts! Think paper cut times 100. First of many Boo Boo's for Alex I am afraid...
Alex's Mean Face
We have no idea where he learned this, but we are really proud!
He can turn it on and off in a bat of an eye too!

Ready for the potty???
So I get these babycenter emails that tell you what's going on with your kids every week of their life thus far. They are just general topics and they highlight milestones or where you kid may be going next. Well, the 18 month email discussed potty training. I thought I would get the potty out to see what Alex did. Let's just say - he might not be ready :) No seriously - he does say potty all the time and point to it - he just doesn't have any interest in actually telling us that he needs to use it before filling his diaper. We won't rush it!
