Alex and Mackenzie shared their birthday parties together at the Otto Armleder Memorial Park. We had lots of friends and family and it was a beautiful day! Thanks everyone for all the awesome gifts!

...and I can cry if I want to! Alex is ONE today - can you beleive how fast the year has went by! We took this picture this morning to show his Aunt Beezer that he does like his new Star Wars t-shirt - thanks Aunt Beezer!

Lake Cumberland Round 3

We had a great trip to the lake, Alex actually smiled in the water this time! We got to stay out all day on the "Baby Barge"! Thanks to the Weeks for letting us borrow the carseat so that Alex could have his much-needed nap! Love the picture with Tim and the three boys!

We went over to Lyndsey's pool today and had a great time. Alex got in the pool with Tim and just loved the water! We got to meet Tucker and see little Will again - they are both 2 months old! Alex missed the memo about it being nap time!

Beach Day 2

It was really hard to keep Alex entertained at the beach since all he wanted to do was eat the sand, so daddy bought him a boat to play in - he loved it! Stay tuned for the video of him playing in the boat and also exploring in the ocean!

Our Trip to New Jersey

Alex liked the beach much more this time, he has came a long way since Aruba. He really liked the way the sand tasted when it hit his lips!

4th of July Weekend

We were in New York at West Point for a wedding on the 4th of July - Alex was sporting his patriotic gear for the occasion. We had a great time seeing all of our family and Tom and Jacquelyn's wedding was beautiful!

I have to document this...

For the first time yesterday I think Alex actually listened and understood what I was saying. When Alex crawls over to the fireplace he likes to stand up and bang on the screen - I always say "NO", but he usually just looks back at me with a devilish grin and does it anyway. However, yesterday he stopped just short of the screen, sat up and starting throwing his arms up and screaming in discontent, but at least he didn't touch it. I think he finally is understanding what NO means! We will keep practicing though - I am sure I have many more battles ahead!
